Wen by Chaz: 7-Days of Use with Fine Hair

If you are unfamiliar with Wen by Chaz, it is a line of hair care products that has been around for 16 years and sold an impressive 40 million bottles. Developed by hair stylist to the stars Chaz Dean, the line is probably best known on Sephora for the cleansing conditioner that is said to be able to replace shampoo, conditioner, leave-in conditioner, deep conditioner and de-tangler with just one product.

The WEN hair cleansing conditioner works gently with your hairs natural chemical makeup to cleanse while not stripping it of the “good” oils. Did you know that most of the damage to our hair comes from the harsh lather of shampoos? I didn’t. I thought the bigger the lather the better! Chaz Dean also uses very natural products in his cleansing conditioner and never uses harsh sulfates or chemicals.

The eBay best-selling product is said to work on all hair types, thick or thin, curly or straight, you get the picture. Bustle.com writer, Emily McClure, recently did a fun 7-day journey where she lets readers follow along on her first ever use of Wen’s cleansing conditioner. Emily did a great job cataloging exactly how the product worked, how much you needed to use, and, best of all the granular specifics of how it worked on her hair. Each day came with a Facebook picture and any details she thought were relevant, such as how long her curls lasted, when she showered, etc.

Overall, I liked that she provided a really honest review. Every new hair product takes our hair a little getting “used” to and while she had a few small bumps in the road her final consensus was that she really did her an improvement in shine and health in her hair.
